Organized by ITU in partnership with Czechitas, winner of the EQUALS Technology Award 2022, the virtual event will take place from 09:00 to 11:00 CEST.
The campaign aims to raise awareness and empower girls and young women about the digital gender gap by providing them with the skills, confidence and support they need to pursue careers in ICT. Under the tagline 'Skills for Digital Life', the event will highlight the importance of girls and young women thriving in STEM, both as ICT users and creators in the digital world.
By connecting female representatives from government departments, NGOs, UN agencies, the private sector and women's networks with young women and girls across Europe, the event provides role models and opportunities to inspire young people to pursue technical studies and careers. The event will also involve the Generation Connect Europe Youth Group and will highlight the importance and value of digital skills for young people in the digital economy.
