The e-Sustainability Seminar took place from April 21 to April 25, 2023, in Clermont-Ferrand, France. Hosted by Association Resopa and coordinated together with GEYC - Group of the European Youth for Change, this project aimed to address the digital aspects of sustainability and establish a symbiotic relationship between the two fields.
The motivation behind promoting digital initiatives for sustainability stemmed from an extensive needs assessment conducted among our community members and partners. The research revealed significant interest and potential for improvement in these areas across Europe and beyond. The primary focus areas identified by the participants aligned with four Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
1️⃣ SDG 5: Gender Equality,
2️⃣ SDG 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all,
3️⃣ SDG 13: Climate action, and
4️⃣ SDG 16: Peace, justice, and strong institutions.
The seminar brought together a diverse profile of participants, including youth workers with fewer opportunities, individuals engaged in youth work and projects (either professionally or voluntarily), and those interested and willing to actively contribute to the topic. With the enchanting city of Clermont-Ferrand as the backdrop, the seminar created a vibrant platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration in the realm of e-sustainability.
