On the 17th of May 2021, the Anna Lindh Foundation, together with UNESCO is organizing a Training on Intercultural Competencies for Youth in the Euro-Mediterranean region, in the framework of the ALF Virtual Marathon for Dialogue in the EuroMed region.
The aim of the training is to build strong skills for tolerance, empathy, listening for understanding, and critical thinking, drawing from UNESCO’s Manual for Developing Intercultural Competencies. Such skill will become - and have proven to be - increasingly important in a global context where migrations and the global pandemic have revealed intercultural competencies and soft skills gaps.
The training will be delivered by Darla K. Deardorff, Professor at Duke University and author of UNESCO’s Manual for Developing Intercultural Competencies.
The deadline for receiving applications is the 4th of May 2021.
Participants must:
- Be aged between 18 and 30 years old;
- Be a member of the Young Mediterranean Voices alumni community, the EVE alumni community, or the ALF networks;
- Have a nationality and/or be a resident of one of the 42 EuroMed countries.
