According to the results of a survey with over a million responses on which the European Commission based its report of mid-term evaluation, Erasmus+ and its predecessor programmes had a positive impact on their beneficiaries.

The respondents consider that Erasmus+ is one of the most positive and visible on short, medium and long term results of European integration. The programme is believed to add value on a European level, compared to what could be achieved at national level, without cooperation and exchange of expertise and good practices. Erasmus+ is also seen as more coherent and relevant than its predecessors, through an improvement of efficiency and simplification.
